Rakesh Jeswaani

Rakeshh is the founder and principal designer of his firm, Rakeshh Jeswaani Interior Architects (RJIA). He sits at the crux of current and contemporary interior design but he draws inspiration from a variety of design styles like Art Deco and Neo Classical. With strong technical know-how and a keen eye for aesthetics, Rakeshh creates spaces that exude warmth and are personal to each client’s individual lifestyle and sensibilities.

His style is timeless, embracing the broad and free-spirited. It is a palette that borrows from his 23 years of experience in the industry and includes everything from iconic pieces, international furniture to contemporary art. His love for travel brings him face to face with varied aspects of design – from the ‘historic’ to ‘cutting edge contemporary’ – in cities like New York, Tel Aviv and Milan, often bringing a fresh perspective to his work.

In the course of an extensive Interior Design career spanning over two decades, Rakeshh has personally completed a vast number of prestigious projects, infusing each space with his unique style and meticulous attention to detail.

Today, RJIA is proud to have a client list which includes top industrialists, professionals and celebrities. It is his personal touch and his excellent rapport with all his clients that has made Rakeshh a much sought after name in luxury interiors.

Alongside his Interior Design practise, Rakeshh is also a partner with Roomi Maneckshaw at CURIOSITY FURNITURE, one of Mumbai’s more exclusive bespoke furniture boutiques.

Curiosity Furniture

CURIOSITY FURNITURE is one of Mumbai’s most eclectic high quality furniture and home accessories destinations. Established in 1999 by the partners, Rakeshh Jeswaani and Roomi Maneckshaw, Curiosity’s design range combines the rich tradition of Indian craftsmanship with international contemporary design.

Hand crafted in India using local materials, each piece adheres to a high standard of quality and finish.

Natural Teak wood, stone, and glass form an integral part of the designs; while subtle accents of semi precious inlay, mosaic, and metal create a look that is distinct and personalised. The textures and motifs are inspired by art forms from India and other parts of the world.
